Today the Flair Bartenders Association, or FBA, is the recognized global authority on the sport, with membership of thousands and thousands of individual bartenders in more than 140 countries worldwide. In 2005 the FBA launched the FBA Pro Tour, a linked series of events where competitors earn points toward the title Pro Tour Champion at the end of the year. There are many Flair Bartending videos which can all be found online. Many people find a nice bottle and tin routine much more more exciting than a two minute juggling sequence. In Texas, one way to legally get into a bar while you’re under the age of 21 is by being the bartender. Straws and napkins, along with bar tools play their parts in entertaining the customers. Another benefit of flair bartending is that it adds another demension to your arsonal of skills. When the tin has made a half rotation, simply close your hand around the tin. When you practise, try to make it as real as possible, meaning if you use plastic spouts at work, practise with them or if you use metal spouts at work, then practise with those. Many learn how to bartend online these days as the information is everywhere and there is licensed and accredited schools. Although there are a lot of flairbars out there. you also see many bartenders learning to flair to break the monotony of the job. Just by adding a few moves and tricks to your repertoire you will stand out from the crowd and your customers will notice. Competition bartending may never make it into the Olympics, but it's quickly become a world wide sporting event. You must learn how to operate the bar equipment and the importance of good customer service. The FBA's motto is service first and flair second. So get your bottles, shakers and glasses and start practicing. Extreme Bartending can become your competitive advantage, so practice a few moves, impress your customers and have fun!
